Alyssa McDonald is a pre-college advisor for 澳门彩开奖结果记录历史's Bristol Bay Campus in Unalaska, Alaska, where she has lived for nearly 40 years. A former touring musician with the USO, she performed for troops in 37 countries and all 50 states. McDonald holds a degree in early education with minors in music and Spanish and is a 500-hour certified yoga instructor, teaching 10 classes weekly. She and her husband have three children of Aleut heritage. In memory of her youngest child, who passed away in 2019, McDonald established an educational endowment providing two annual scholarships for local graduates. Her goal is to create a second endowment supporting dual-credit courses for high school students. Her hobbies include singing, sewing, gardening and financial planning.

McDonald consistently goes above and beyond for her students and colleagues. She is extremely caring and passionate, which is evident in her daily work. She ensures that everyone is respected and that her duties are completed thoroughly. Having been with BBC in Unalaska for 1.5 years, she has already significantly impacted students, co-workers, and the community. She is a rock star鈥攅nergetic and always eager to help others. McDonald is enthusiastic about taking on new projects and roles, and she has served as our student services coach for the Bristol Bay and Aleutian region, focusing on pre-college and early college students. Currently, she is studying the new FAFSA application and planning the Kids2College event. We are delighted to have Alyssa representing BBC.
